Christina Holm is a Danish mezzo-soprano known for her warm, lyrical voice, strong stage presence, and distinctive artistic profile within contemporary opera. With a background that combines both performance and musicology, she brings depth, intelligence, and creative curiosity to her work on stage and beyond.
She holds a Master’s degree in Classical Singing and Performance from the Danish National Academy of Music, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree. Prior to her formal vocal training, she pursued both Bachelor’s and Master’s studies in Musicology at the University of Copenhagen, shaping a broad artistic and academic foundation that continues to inform her interpretative approach.
Christina is an active performer across Denmark, appearing as a soloist and ensemble singer in both classical and contemporary repertoire. She is a permanent soloist with Ensemble Via Artis Konsort and a core member of the opera company Opera Prætentiøs, where she also serves in a leadership role. Her recent and upcoming engagements include leading roles in contemporary productions and concert works, and she has been touring performances that bring opera to diverse audiences.
Alongside her performing career, Christina is an emerging creative voice in the field. She works as a composer, creator, and artistic director, with a particular focus on developing new operatic formats. Her projects include site-specific and outdoor performances, as well as contemporary operas that explore Nordic themes and storytelling.
